Ok,
so I'm exhausted, literally! But, don't feel sorry for me as I
have been pampered beyond belief here in Baden - Baden Germany since
last Thursday. I say exhausted as from the moment I arrived here,
I have been doing photography services for the hotel Der Klein Prinz,
the world famous casino where I had a private viewing and opportunity to
shoot what is reputed as the most beautiful gambling place in the world.
Of course, I also shot the famous spa that is here as well. In total, I
have shot nearly 50 360 panoramas in total. I have had some
relaxation, but not very much. Each night I have sat down to as
many a course meal as I've wanted, to include ostrich, steak, lamb,
lobster, more lobster, and yes, even more lobster. Oh, lets not
forget the king prawns or the incredible breakfast. Of all the
contacts I have made in Europe, this is definitely one of the best.
Last night I sat on my balcony watching a lightning storm over the
steeples of the several hundred year old cathedral right outside my
window. I am going to keep this journal entry ever so short though
so I can at least get something up for those of you who are following
me. Click on the pictures below to take a tour much as I did of
the wonderful city known as Brugges which I cancelled my visit to
Brussels for. What a great decision as it is a magical village, a
MUST for anyone coming to Europe! Before I go though, I did get a
surprise Sunday morning to realize I had no reservations for the next
three nights and thought I might be sleeping in the train station!
But, with the help of the staff here, I gave them some hotels, jostled
around some places and got reservations for all but one of the three
nights, that is until when my current host, Mr. Andreas Rademacher,
realized I didn't have a place on Thursday, asked where I'd be coming
from on Wed., where I needed to go on Friday (Zurich) and made a call to
the cutest hotel built in the 1200's in a mid-evil city called
Rothenburg, just a few hour drive from Zurich. He told the
host I'd exchange some photography services for my keep. The hotel
looks perfect, check it out -
www.romantikhotels.com/rothenburg and the name is Romantik Hotel
Markusturm. So, with all that being said, I best get going to dinner as
Edgar, the head waiter and my waiter for the past few nights is waiting
my arrival. Maybe I'll have the venison tonight! I will
attempt a more extensive journal entry in then next few days, detailing
my visit here as well as Brugges. So, with all that being said, take
care of yourself and thanks so much for following along.
