From Oban Scotland to an island off Greece!
May 9, 2003 Afer arriving on Wed. afternoon, I went to bed early that evening and relaxed on Thursday. Today, Friday the 9th of May, 2003, I woke at 5:30 and caught train to Glasgow and then on to where I am now, in Oban on the western coast of Scotland. It is raining here now and except for beer in a local Irish pub, I will call it an early night. Amanda will arrive from Edinburgh tomorrow and we will spend the day here in Oban (oh-bin) and head back on Sunday. Because she has a busy week next week with 18 hour days at work, she suggested I "get lost" for a week. So, after spending an hour trying to decide between Cyprus, Turkey, or Greece this morning at a travel agent in Glasgow, I opted for Greece. 7 nights accommodation at lovely place, round trip and transfers for only £139.00! How could I resist! I also confirmed a visit with a Dr. and his girlfriend in Hamburg as I pass on my way from Auke's farm to Olso and the Norweigan coast in early June. Lets see, what else can I say before my 15 mintues is up in this internet cafe in Oban. Oh, I got a nice email from a hotel in Edinburgh who wants a web site developed for them and some panoramas for a friends hotel. I hope this is going to be a nice trip, as I must admit I have all sorts of thoughts running through my head as to its practicality at this point and time in my life... x |
