Siena

Prior to my departure for Europe, a very good friend
told me I "had" to visit Siena. After
doing so, I certainly could understand her desire to
have me stop here. This ancient village has the
most magnificent of cathedrals. One is able to
climb a very narrow tower to reach an excellent
vantage point providing a great view of all of Siena
in addition to the surrounding Italian
countryside. Stopping here is a must!

Lucca

While
visiting Venice, my host's daughter absolutely
insisted that I visit the village of Lucca near the
town of Pisa. What an excellent
recommendation! If you make the effort to go to
Pisa, you most definitely want to be sure to stop
here. I spent the afternoon walking amongst
buildings and art that took my breath away.
